Artefill Beverly hills & Los Angeles
What is Artefill?
ArteFill is the premier wrinkle correction filler as its results are long
term. Mainly used for the nasolabial folds (smile lines) it is a formulation
of medical grade PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate microspheres) and bovine
Is Artefill Permanent?
Yes. While other fillers like Juvaderm or Restylane are made from synthetic or natural materials that eventually get absorbed by the body and cause for results to only last a few months. This unique microsphere enhanced collagen allows for a permanent wrinkle solution.
What does Artefill do?
ArteFill is injected directly under the wrinkle or fold and while the
collagen gel does get absorbed the microspheres stay in place, providing
your skin the support it needs for long lasting wrinkle correction.
The solution not only acts as a dermal filler but the microspheres also stimulate the body to produce its own collagen. So while the injected collagen dissolves naturally the newly produced collagen replaces it, enabling the long lasting results.
Is Artefill FDA Approved?
ArteFill was approved by the FDA in 2006 and is a simple, in office procedure that leaves the patient with amazing, long-term results which are seen immediately. The injection will take about 15-20 minutes, but two treatments may be necessary to achieve full wrinkle correction. If that be the case, each treatment will be done anywhere from three to six weeks apart. The ArteFill solution also contains the local anesthetic lidocaine, which reduces discomfort during the injection. There is no down time at all and normal activities can be resumed without delay.
Is Artefill Worth it?
In addition to the outstanding results, since Artefill is sustainable and requires less injections over time, it is therefore not only less time consuming but also less costly in the long run.
